What Circa is
Circa is an iOS app that helps you plan a date by composing an evening from your brief. It is for inspiration and structure. It is not a guarantee that any venue is open, available, suited to your purpose, or in business at all.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The choices you make based on a plan.
- Verifying reservations, hours, prices, accessibility, and any other detail before you go.
- Your own transportation and your guest's transportation.
- Your conduct on the evening.
- Following local laws, including any rules about the venues a plan suggests.
Venue information
Venue details inside a plan are generated by an AI model and may be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong. Treat them as a starting point. Always confirm directly with the venue before depending on a plan.
AI generation
Plans are produced by a language model that sometimes makes mistakes. Specifically: it can invent names, get hours wrong, or suggest something that has closed. We do our best to keep these mistakes rare, but we cannot promise the model is perfect.
Not for emergencies or safety
Circa does not handle emergencies and is not a safety service. Do not rely on it for safe routes, medical guidance, or any decision where a wrong answer would cause harm.
Account and guest use
You can use Circa as a guest. If you sign in with Apple, that lets the app remember you across launches. Today, signing in does not give you any extra features beyond convenience; future versions may sync plans across your devices.
Premium
Premium is not available yet. The Premium screen inside the app lets you join a waitlist by submitting an email. Joining the waitlist is not a purchase, not a subscription, and not a charge. We will add terms specific to Premium before charging for anything.
Fair use
Do not scrape the app, automate plan generation, or attempt to bypass rate limits. Doing so may get your device, IP, or account blocked. We may rate-limit, suspend, or change the service at any time.
Limitation of liability
Circa is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the app, including anything that happens on an evening you planned with Circa.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The Effective date above will move when we do. If a change is material, we will note it in the app or by email if we have one for you.
